aemi and Bealtaine Festival announce upcoming screening of Juana Robles’ films at IFI

On Saturday May 30th aemi will screen two works from Juana Robles’ Bodyverses series at the Irish Film Institute. These screenings focus on the work of performance artists Frances Mezzetti and Alastair MacLennan both of whom will be present for the screening and will join a discussion afterwards alongside Juana and aemi Co-Director Daniel Fitzpatrick.
Juana Robles was recently featured on aemi’s Artist in Focus page. You can find out more about Juana’s practice and processes there including a video interview with Juana where she discusses her practice and processes. A particular focus in aemi’s discussion with Juana was her approach to portraiture. aemi are now delighted to announce an upcoming screening and discussion with Juana which will focus on her Bodyverses series.
