We advise film artists to take time to carefully read the supplied guidelines and ensure that you are eligible for any of the listed festival submissions, grants, bursaries and residencies below before you begin planning and writing. We also ask film artists to pay particular attention to the deadlines and closing times for any submissions listed on the funders website.

Draíocht is delighted to announce an Open Call for early career and recent graduates from or living in Fingal for an exhibition which will take place in its Galleries between 04 March-02 May 2026. Each participating artist will receive a fee of €350 and 25 artists will be selected to show their work. The Selection Panel for the Open Call Submission are Aisling Prior (Exhibition Curator), Emer McGowan (Director, Draíocht), Sarah O’Neill (Fingal County Council Arts Officer), Rich Gilligan (Artist) and Bassam Issa Al-Sabah (Artist). Closing date for submission is 31st December 2025, 5pm.

Prismatic Ground: a New York festival centered on experimental documentary and avant-garde film, and for the first time accepting performance, music and poetry/live reading submissions. Regular Deadline: 1st March 2026.
Media City Film Festival’s call for entriesfor its 28th edition is now open. The festival will take place in person in Windsor–Detroit, September 15–19, 2026. Entry deadline: May 1, 2026. Acceptance notification: July 2026. Absolutely no entry fees.
