Exciting changes for aemi as two new staff members join the team
Published date: 18 Sep 2026
A true season of change is underway for aemi this September; as we bid Co-Director, Daniel Fitzpatrick a fond farewell, and welcome two new members to our team. Clodagh Assata Boyce joins us as our Interim Programmer and Mary Callaghan as our new Financial Administrator.
This growth for aemi marks a significant moment as we work towards our busy winter and upcoming 2027 programmes. To support the next chapter, Alice Butler will adopt the role of Creative Director and Anne Hendrick will take on an expanded role as Head of Development and Engagement.
We are thrilled to have Clodagh’s unique and innovative perspective as Interim Programmer as she works closely with Alice Butler to develop screening events and programmes across the winter.
Joining the team as our new Financial Administrator, Mary brings her extensive knowledge and the crucial operational support needed as aemi scales it’s operations.
We are incredibly excited to have Clodagh and Mary join us and look forward to the wealth of new insights, energy, and expertise they will both contribute to our upcoming projects.
Clodagh Assata Boyce is a Trini-Irish anti-disciplinary artist and curator based in Dublin. Influenced by the radical traditions of Black feminist thought, their work is rooted in diasporic memory, the politics of care, and practices of refusal. Clodagh has curated several collaborative projects both locally and internationally. They have held residencies such as Curator-in-Residence at PS² and Critic-in-Residence at SIRIUS Arts Centre (2025).
Based in the north west, Mary Callaghan is a finance manager and arts professional. Prior to joining aemi, Mary held roles in arts management, community development administration, and ran her own creative business for nine years. Mary holds a BA in Visual Arts Practice from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire and an MA in Financial Management from TUS Athlone.
During this moment of exciting change we want to extend our sincere gratitude to our audiences, our primary funder; The Arts Council, our partners, our wonderfully supportive Board of Directors, and the incredible network of film artists who make our work possible.
Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming winter programmme!
