Filmmaker Frank Sweeney joins aemi’s Board of Directors

aemi are delighted to announce the addition of Frank Sweeney as the most recent member of its board. aemi has been working with Frank, supporting and screening his work. We screened Frank’s film ‘All I believe happened there was vision’ on our online platform back in 2020. Frank was also a recipient of aemi and SIRIUS film commission in  2022 for ‘2 Channel Land’ and Frank’s film Few Can See was featured in aemi’s touring programme for 2025. aemi are delighted to have Frank join the board where he will help shape policy and plans that will benefit film artists for many years to come.

Across 2026 aemi will continue to scale our ambitions and expand our board and we are thrilled to welcome filmmaker Frank. Our board is instrumental in guiding aemi to realise our strategic function to serve the needs of film artists and advocate for them, and their work, so that it can reach as wide an audience as possible.

BIO:

Frank Sweeney is an artist with a research based practice, using found material to approach questions of collective memory, experience and identity through film and sound.
