FREE three part programme curated by AEMI for Dublin Gallery Weekend 2026

Artist and experimental film takes over the big screen with a FREE three-part Dublin Gallery Weekend film programme curated by AEMI taking place at Light House Cinema from 6th to 8th of November.

Friday brings together films by Irish artists including Susan Hughes, Gerard Byrne, Vivienne Dick, Emma Finn, Michael Barwise and Jaki Irvine.

Saturday features Irish premieres of three works by British Jarman Award-winning artist and filmmaker Morgan Quaintance alongside films by Inger Lise Hansen, Rebecca Trost, Patrick Jolley and Olivia Normile, while the programme concludes on Sunday with the Dublin premiere of Kahlil Joseph’s BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions (2025).

The upcoming daily schedule for the screenings includes:
  • Friday, 6th November 2026: Questions of Travel – A collection of seven works by Irish film artists including Susan Hughes, Gerard Byrne, Vivienne Dick, Emma Finn, Michael Barwise, and Jaki Irvine. The screening runs for 61 minutes and will be followed by a live Q&A with the filmmakers. 
  • Saturday, 7th November 2026: Impossible Conversations – A programme assembled around three films by Jarman Award-winning artist Morgan Quaintance whose exhibition ‘I’ll Always Remember’ at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios runs from Oct 2nd to Nov 22nd.
  • Sunday, 8th November 2026: BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions (2025) – The programme concludes with the highly anticipated Dublin premiere of Kahlil Joseph’s landmark work.
