Upcoming Arts Council funding opportunities – Authored Works, Reel Art, Open Call

Applications are now opening through Film for the following Arts Council Awards:

Authored Works

The purpose of Authored Works is to provide film artists with the creative and editorial freedom to make a feature-length authored cultural film work from a strong artistic point of view. Films must be artist-led.

Maximum awarded: €230,000
Deadline: 17:30, Thursday 18 August 2022

Reel Art

The purpose of Reel Art is to provide film artists with the opportunity to make highly creative, imaginative and experimental documentaries on an artistic theme for cinema exhibition. At least two films will be supported in 2022.

The maximum awarded to individual artists will be €120,000

Open Call

Open Call is a programme for artists and arts organisations to develop and shift their practice and profile work for the public on a national scale, creating high-profile arts central to people’s lives. In response to the final phase of the Decade of Centenaries the Arts Council is planning a national programme, Art 2023, a call to artists and arts organisations, to surprise and renew the state.

Maximum awarded: €500,000
Deadline: 17:30, Thursday 29 September 2022
